The Arabian Nights (Persian: هزار و یک شب Hezār o yek šab, Arabic: ألف ليلة وليلة Kitāb ʾAlf Laylah wa-Laylah, lit. The Book of a Thousand Nights and One Night) is an anonymous collection of folk tales in Arabic, of Persian and Indian origin. It is made up of many enshrined tales and characters mirrored in relation to each other.
